Who We Are
35 Years. One Focus.
Range Safety Consulting brings decades of hands-on experience to every shooting range project — from initial assessment through commissioning and beyond.
Our Background
Experience Built Inside the System.
With over 35 years of federal government experience, Tim Sheehan founded Range Safety Consulting to provide specialized expertise in shooting range safety, occupational health and safety, and the design, assessment, and operation of indoor firearms training facilities.
During his career, Tim was responsible for the Canadian Border Services Agency’s (CBSA) live-fire range program and personally reviewed and approved more than 100 shooting ranges across Canada, including complex indoor facilities serving law enforcement and government clients.
Through Range Safety Consulting, that expertise is now available to law enforcement agencies, government organizations, range operators, architects, engineers, and contractors involved in the design, construction, renovation, and operation of shooting ranges across Canada.
Evidence-Based Assessments
Every recommendation we make is grounded in practical, field-tested knowledge — not theory. Our clients get clear, actionable guidance they can act on with confidence.
Safety Without Compromise
Safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible facilities are the standard, not the goal. We hold every project to the same rigorous standard we applied throughout our federal career.
